Characteristics:High Performance Non Ionic product with high degree of degreasing capacity & wetting ability based on selected fatty alcohol ethoxylates

Solubility & Compatibility: Readily soluble in cold and warm water. Compatible with syntans, Dyes and other anionic, cationic & non ionic products.

Application/Properties
Balchem SOC is designed for all kind of hides and skins at any pH. It reduces surface tension of water and develops good emulsifying capacity for hides and skins having heavy fat. During Rechroming of New Zealand wet blue sheep 2 – 4 % of this product brings down the fat content and free fatty acid content substantially.
Recommended usage
- Soaking: 0.5 - 0.75 % (% on raw weight)
- Liming: 0.5 - 0.75 % (% on raw weight)
- Bating & Degreasing: 1.5 - 3.5 % (% on limed pelt weight)
- Rechroming:2.0 - 4.0 % (% on wet blue weight)
It imparts
- Removes natural fat and dirt
- Free from APEO, NPEO & Solvent
- Removes fat spew problem by reducing free fatty acid content in leather
- Facilitate the penetration of tanning and post tanning chemicals.
Safety
A non hazardous industrial chemical should be handled with normal care. Any contact with eyes and/or spillage on skin should be washed thoroughly with running water.
Storage
This product has 12 months shelf life when stored in original packing in sealed condition at ambient temperature. Protect from moisture & sunlight Avoid freezing. Stir well before use. Close container tightly after use.
