Application/Properties
‘Balchem AF’ can be used in all process of leather production for degreasing and wetting effect. Recommended usage
- Balchem AF reduces surface tension of water and thus develops a good emulsifying effect.
- It has a very good emulsifying capacity for natural grease.
- It dissolves natural fat and dirt.
- It reduces the effluent problems because of its solvent, APEO & NPEO free nature.
- Soaking: 0.8 - 1.0 % (% on raw hide weight)
- Liming: 0.5 - 0.8 % (% on raw hide weight)
- Bating & Degreasing: 0.3 - 0.4 % (% on limed pelt weight)
- Degreasing: 1.5 – 2.5 % (% on pickled weight)
Safety
A non hazardous industrial chemical should be handled with normal care. Any contact with eyes and/or spillage on skin should be washed thoroughly with running water
Storage
This product has 12 months shelf life when stored in original packing in sealed condition at ambient temperature. Protect from moisture & sunlight. Avoid freezing. Stir well before use. Close Container tightly after use.
